First Photo Shoot

Hazel's first photo shoot. There are a few more I took, but those are being saved for her birth announcement! And I am sure this is only the first of many photo shoots! Now my goal is to have a little shoot with Hazel and big sis, Norah!

Hazel Gloria is here!!!!

Sorry this update has taken so long. Life has seemed to become a little more hectic all of a sudden!!! In a good way!!! Hazel Gloria made her big arrival on September 26th at 4:19 in the afternoon. We arrived at the hospital at 6:30am that morning because I was scheduled to be induced. Hazel was five days overdue, so our Dr. felt it was time to help her out! I started Petocin at about 8:00am, my water was broke at 12:30pm, and Hazel arrived after two pushes (that's right, two pushes....believe me, we couldn't believe it either) at 4:19pm. We feel so extremely blessed to have another beautiful daughter. We know Norah and Hazel are going to be the best of friends! Thank you also to everyone who visited us in the hospital, at home and provided us with food and gifts. We are so blessed to have all of you in our lives and our girls are lucky to have all of you surrounding them!

Last night as an only child......tomorrow she becomes a big sister!!!!

Well, clearly school has started back up because the blog has taken a backseat to the crazy, hectic schedule we have had the last few weeks. We are still here though, getting things ready for baby to arrive. I have had a wonderful first few weeks of school, getting things ready for my sub and preparing to be at home with our new arrival. Norah has readjusted to going back to daycare everyday. She loves going to see her friends!!!! We are now officially 40 weeks with our pregnancy, so Baby #2 could arrive any day! Keep checking back for photos of our new little one!

We have gone the last two weekends to watch Audrey and Lilly in their first soccer games! They are all so cute running around in their little shin guards and cleats! Great job out there Audrey and Lilly!

This picture was taken a week ago.  We are now officially 40 weeks....which means....come on baby, any day now would be good!
We did have a Dr. appointment today.  I am dialated to 3 cm and 50% effaced.  This makes me excited because it is farther than I ever got with Norah on my own.  We are getting very anxious, excited, nervous and just overwhelmed with the thought of our second baby arriving any day now!  We will keep everyone updated!!!!

September is Here!!!!!!!

We cannot believe September is FINALLY here. It seems like it has been such a loooong summer being pregnant and waiting for this month to come when we get to meet our new addition! I have been at school the past week for professional development and trying to get my room ready. I have met with my substitute and she is going to join me the first two weeks of school just to get an idea of how I run the classroom. I think things will go very well while I'm gone. We are soaking up every last minute of summer and our last days as a family of three! It is so bittersweet! We will be keeping everyone up to date on any changes and of course when the little one arrives there will be lots of pictures to share, so keep checking back!

 

Norah got to spend a little more time with Claire the other day when her and her mommy stopped by.  This is great BIG SISTER  practice for her!

We bought Norah a little battery operated quad runner because she is getting frustrated trying to work her tricycle.  I wanted her to have a little more fun before summer is over and be able to ride around. She is hysterical riding this thing around and the first time she got on she couldn't stop giggling!  Wish we would have bought this at the BEGINNING of the summer!!!

Another Summer Playdate

We headed up to Harbor Beach last week to help celebrate Mike Cubitt's birthday. It was so much fun to watch all the kids play together and to visit with everyone.

This was the coolest toy ever.  I had never seen one before, but I need to keep my eye out for one.  It was a little roller coaster that all the kids could ride on.  I love the expressions on Norah's face.

We finished the evening with a walk on the beach and a campfire.  I wish I would have gotten a picture of Bryn and Norah around the campfire.....they basically took down an entire bowl of popcorn between the two of them!  Nothing better than a campfire and popcorn!  Thanks again Cooks for having us!  We had a wonderful time!

Belly Pics

As you all know my sister-in-law Ashlie and I both have a 'thing' for photography and I am so blessed that she is so talented behind the camera. I am usually the one behind the camera taking pictures of my family, but last night Ashlie took some time to shoot some family and belly pictures for us before Baby #2 arrives. I cannot thank her enough because they turned out way beyond my expectations! Thanks so much Ashlie! I will treasure these pictures forever!

I was going to make a video of them all to share (because I have so many favorites), but when I have my blog printed into my second book, I want the pictures to show up!  So here they ALL are!  :)

After our photo shoot, we had dinner and a campfire!  It was so much fun sitting around the fire watching the girls eat their chocolate and marshmallows! 

 

We decided to head in around 10:00pm and Ashlie had a mirror to show me in the basement before we left.  We headed to the basement and all I can say is boy am I glad she went down before me (sorry Ashlie! :) ).  I saw her at the bottom of the steps and all of a sudden all I saw was her duck, scream and something swoop at her head!!!!!!!!!!!!  You got it!!!  There was a bat flying around the basement!!!  I ran back upstairs screaming, Ashlie is screaming, all of the girls start crying and the guys were worried half to death.  So.....I won't go into details, but after about a half an hour, the bat was found, its life was gently taken with a broom (it was either that or a yellow, plastic baseball bat!) and it was thrown outside.  Here is a picture of the girls waiting patiently upstairs to hear the news of the bat's capture.  I do have a video commentary from the three girls that I will post later!!!!!!
