I have recently become addicted to a little thing called Pinterest (thanks Ashlie!).  I also have a slight obsession with a little blog called YoungHouseLove.  Drew will open the labtop every once in awhile and say, "Oh, surprise, surprise...YoungHouseLove."  They are this great do-it-yourself couple with wonderful ideas for around the house.  I have tried a few of the projects I have found on Pinterest and YoungHouseLove.  I wanted to share some of them with you and hopefully inspire you to try a couple DIY projects of your own.  (note:  Sorry this is gonna be a long post with lots of pics, but I wanted to share them all with you at once!)

Okay, so our basement is a work in progress (I will have more pictures in the next couple of days because there have been even more developments since this picture), but this is a project I saw on YHL.  See those cute chandeliers hanging?  They are made from wire fencing and clothespins from the dollar store!  All we had were bare bulbs hanging from the ceiling and we want a little cozier feeling down there.  I thought these would be perfect. 

Here is the one up close.  This one is a little different shape than the other ones.  I love how they turned out!!!!

These are the picture frames you will see in a couple days hanging on our basement walls!  The most exciting part about the frames is I got all five of them for $14 at The Sheltered Workshop (our version of Goodwill).  The mirror was $12 at "The Junk Shop" (as Ashlie calls it) here in town!

They were all mismatched and not looking so hot, but BAM!  A little spritz of spraypaint and voila!  Beautiful!

Seven BUCKS!!!!  What a steal!

Isn't she pretty!!!!!!!!!????????????  This is also my new favorite spray paint color.  It is a color that Sherry at YHL is also obsessed with.  I tried it once and fell in love!

It's so pretty, and shiny, and metallic-y and yummy!!!  What a transformation!  You will also see pics of this in the basement in a couple days!

This is our bathroom window.  I used to have some wood blinds on these windows, but they didn't fit right and they felt too heavy.  They blocked out too much light in an already dark bathroom.  So I saw this idea on Pinterest.  This lady frosted her door window with contact paper.  It was a time consuming little project, but I love how it turned out!!!!

Just a little sign I printed, painted the frame, painted the mat and hung it in Norah's bathroom!

Just wrote this out, printed some cute colored, hexagon paper and hung it on my picture wall!

Also found these on Pinterest, printed out, spray painted the frames and hung them in our bathroom!

Well, there you have it, SOME of my DIY projects lately!  Can you tell I have been bored! :)  Ha!  Not really, just realizing I have an interest in thrifting, revamping and adding to our house to help it become more of a home!!!!!! (Cheesy, I know :)  )

Swing, Swing!

Mom and Dad hung up a swing this past weekend for Norah from their pergola. We stopped by for a quick swing before heading to the golf course for the Club Championship. Norah loved it! She sat in there for almost a half and hour. I think that swing is going to get a lot of future use!

Champ!

Well, another year has come and gone for the Club Championship at Verona Hills.  And we are proud to say that Drew has taken the title again!  I was looking back at the pictures from club championship last year and it is so amazing to see how much Norah has grown.  She was only about 4 weeks old last year at the championship.  We are so proud of Drew!  We know how hard he worked for this win (it got a little interesting coming down the stretch) and he was just so honored to accept the trophy again this year.  Way to go, honey!

Well, I Finally Did It!

With a little encouragement from those I love ;) I decided to open an Etsy shop, called 'Haron's Nest'.  I have to give the credit for the name to Aunt Dinah because she helped me come up with it.  If you notice 'Haron' is Norah's name backwards.  Aaaaahhhh.....clever right?  Thanks Aunt Dinah!!!  For those that have not experienced Etsy yet.....well, lets just say it is beyond ADDICTING.  But, a good addicting!!! :)  Etsy is a place for people to share and sell their creations, handmade items, antiques, custom pieces, etc.  I had decided to try selling a few pieces of my photography and see what happens.  If you are interested in checking out my shop you can go here.  If you just want to check out Etsy in general you can go here.  And if you are not my fan on facebook yet, but want to be.....you can go here.  And if you don't want to do any of those things, but want to see a couple photographs that are for sale, scroll down below for a sneak peek.  I have shared many of these photos in the past, but it never hurts to share them again!  Thanks for everyones' support!  We will see what happens!

Always Playin...

Norah is always playing on anything she can find and me, well, I am always playing with my camera; trying different shots and lately I have had the urge to play around with the sunlight. Some of the last few shots in this series turned out quite unique, I think. Just so fun to take and take and take and get home and see the two or three really great photos you captured! And when you have such cute subjects, it makes it that much more fun! :)

Movin' and Groovin'

Norah has really been starting to recognize music and is starting to show a little interest in dancing. Please excuse Molly's appearance in the video, but watch for the head banging action right after Molly leaves the screen! Too cute!!

Sprinkler Fun

Grammy got Norah a sprinkler for her birthday, so we decided to try it out the other day on one of the HOT days! We had her baby pool and sprinkler up on the deck and just let her bask in the cool water for awhile. She had fun....so did her Mommy and Daddy!
