Born To Be a Camper

Norah went on her first camping trip this past weekend. She did great!!! She even slept in our tent with us. It took her awhile to get settled down on Friday night, but once she was sleeping she slept through the rest of the night. She had fun playing in the sand, taking her naps outside under the trees and taking her first bath in the camper (my Mom and Dad had their trailer there...couldn't have camped without it :) ). What a great way to start the summer!

Just arrived at the campground....

The morning after....Saturday morning waking up in the tent!

Her play area

All of the men before the annual golf game

Everyone chillin' in the shade....it got pretty warm out!

Uncle Jimmy playing the guitar for Norah

She is just such a hat girl!!!!

Look at my cool snack cup guys!!!!

One of the few pictures of Norah and I........thanks Aunt Dinah!
Bouncing.........and lovin' it!

Fun times on the teeter totter!

Playin' in the sand.....wait 'til you see how dirty I got!

Proof that Norah got absolutely, disgustingly dirty....I love it!

So gross.....

Good thing Grandma and Grandpa have a bathtub!!!!

Cuddling with Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Erin after her bath.

Grandpa had an extra pool at his house and brought it over for Norah today since it was so hot out! After her nap and a snack we had some play time in the pool!!! She had so much fun!!! We are looking forward to many more hours in the pool this summer!!!!

"I've got my awesome shovel....."

"...my cool watering can..."

What's That You Say.....5K?

Okay, so all of you that grew up with me or knew me growing up are chuckling to yourselves at the thought of me, Stephanie, running a 5K!! Well, all I have to say is na, na, na-na, na!!! :) Sorry, had to do it! That's right...Drew, Ashlie, and I ran the race and Mark did a great job walking the 5K pushing a double-stroller with two three-year olds in it (I have pushed that stroller, not an easy feat, I must say). Drew and I have been passing out the medals at the Pat Kellerman event for the past three years because Smith Dist. sponsors it every year. Last year I told him that I felt unworthy of giving all of these people their medals when I haven't done a thing!!! So, we vowed to make it a goal of ours to run it this year. I was so nervous the morning of I think I could have thrown up. We have been training, but ever since I got strep throat my training hasn't gone the best. I was definitely not feeling confident in my ability to finish this race. The morning was a little chilly, but perfect for running. It was overcast and just 'my type of day'! I am happy to report that all four of us finished WITHOUT STOPPING!!!! None of us quit running during the entire race. I am so proud of all of us. And in the words of Ashlie Brining, "Crap, now I know I can do it....that means I have to do it again!" Until next year......

Before the race....can you see the panic in my eyes? :)

Just Call Me "Nature Norah"

Drew was in a golf tournament this past weekend (which, he won....great job babe!), so Norah and I headed up to the campground that my parents were camping at to get in a little trial run before our big Higgins Lake trip coming up! It was a very relaxing, fun day and Norah adjusted to being out in nature all day very well! I think she is gonna be a campin' girl!
Playing with her new cash register from Grandma.....The clip on chair is the best thing ever!!!

So excited to be camping!!!!!!!!

Nothing like a nap in the great outdoors!

Tackling the road in her walker!

She loves her new baby!

And......we found the dirt!

Uncle Kenny thought she needed some digging tools!

We are so anxious to meet her (and her cousin, Harper, who is a couple months old already)!!!  We love you guys and we are so glad everyone is doing so wonderful!  Congratulations!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the experienced moms, new moms and soon-to-be moms out there!!!! I am enjoying every moment of my day with Norah, the best I can under the circumstances. I left school early on Friday sicker than a dog, went to the hospital on Saturday and sure enough, I have strep throat. I am not sure I have ever been this sick. I haven't been able to hold and kiss on Norah since Friday and it is killing me....but, thank goodness I have the best husband in the world!!! He has been taking such good care of Norah and me for the past few days. I wouldn't have gotten through it without him! I am finally starting to feel a little better today, enough that I was able to muster up some energy to get outside and get some fresh air with Norah. I may be sick, but I am not gonna let it ruin my first official Mother's Day!!!!

I wasn't feeling well enough this morning to go to brunch, so Drew and Norah headed to Verona to have lunch with Grammy, Papa, Uncle Mark, Aunt Ashlie and Audrey and Lilly.  Sorry I couldn't be there guys, I missed you!

Such a beautiful day out

She wasn't quite sure about the grass at first.  This is really the first time she has been able to really get down and dirty in the stuff!!!  She got used to it pretty quickly.

Not the most glamorous, but our first Mother's Day together.  Couldn't ask for anything more.....

Blowing bubbles.....

And of course Daddy even gets some 'Norah' time on Mother's Day!!!!!
Happy Mother's Day everyone!!!!
