Invitational Week

Invitational Week has begun! The Hamiltons are in town from Cincinnati and the men will be playing golf all week in preparation for the Verona Hills Invitational this weekend. We always have fun activities planned for the week and one of them is always spending time in Grammy and Papa's pool. We started off the weekend with lots of time in the pool and lots of cousin time! Norah has been exhausted, but just having so much fun! Here is a sneak peek into our week(end) so far!

Yay!!!!! (She was happy now, but this only lead to her biggest meltdown to date. She was very upset when her turn was over and it took her a good 15 minutes to stop screaming and throwing a fit! I told my sister-in-law, Jennifer, "Well, that was her worst meltdown yet....not fun!" And she simply informed me, "Oh....she is just getting started. There will be lots more to look forward too!" I can't wait! :) :)

Up North

We spent this past weekend up in Harbor Springs for my cousin Jennifer's wedding. We headed up on Thursday and stayed until Sunday. It was so great to see all of our family at Jennifer and Jeff's wedding, Norah had so much fun, but boy oh boy was it exhausting! :) Too much partying can wear a person out!

This was before dinner was even served and before the music even began. She was absolutely pooped, but she got in a little cat nap, ate some dinner and then boogied the night away. Unfortunately, I spent too much time actually enjoying watching her dance and didn't get any pictures of it. She just had so much fun!

We decided to stay an extra day after the wedding and spend the day in Petoskey. We had a great lunch with Jimmy, Erin and Thatcher in Harbor Springs and then headed to Petoskey. Norah fell asleep on the way, (keep in mind they are only 9 miles apart :) ), so we parked by the lake and enjoyed the scenery for about an hour to let her sleep. Then we headed to downtown Petoskey, walked around in the shops, got Kilwin's ice cream and walked down by the boats!

We had to take a swing break at the park near the docks too!

On Sunday morning before we headed out we stopped at my Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Tom's. Their lab just had puppies and we knew Norah would love to see them. They were the cutest little things!

Beautiful, right? We had a wonderful little mini vacation up north. It was so wonderful to see all the family, enjoy the beautiful weather and spend time together! Thank you everyone for a great weekend!

Keeping Busy

We have had a busy summer so far. I have been trying to find different activities for Norah to do outside, and inside, to stay busy! Here is a peek into our summer so far!

This is just a recipe I found on Pinterest, where else, that is water, corn starch, and food coloring! It is really cool when it dries because it actually looks like chalk!

Then, yesterday we celebrated by big 3-0! I can't believe it! We had a wonderful steak dinner cooked by my wonderful hubby and then an ice cream cake for dessert! I will give you one guess what Norah's favorite part was! :) Thank you to everyone for all the birthday wishes and I am looking forward to continuing the celebration this next week!

We had our second ultrasound today and everything is looking great! The baby is weighing 2 pounds exactly and the growth looks good.

Let the Fun Begin!

Well, school is out, summer has arrived, so let the fun begin. Time already feels like it has been passing so fast and I have only been out of school for a week. I am looking forward to all the fun things we have planned for the summer and all the spontaneous things that will come up over summer too! Like tonight.....we hopped in the car after Norah's nap, headed to Grindstone for the BEST ice cream around, then took Norah to the beach for a little bit. She loves the sand and surf! Can't wait for more beach trips and ice cream all summer long! In another update, we had a Dr. appointment this past week and everything is looking and sounding great. We are 25 weeks along and I am measuring at 26 weeks. The heartbeat was 150 and it was so precious to hear it this time because Norah was with us to hear it. I am totally regretting not having the video camera with us because the expression on her face was priceless when she heard it. Maybe we will try again soon! We have another ultrasound this next week, so I will have some updated photos of Baby B next week!!! Can't wait to see our little one! Sorry for all the type, but I didn't realize how much updating I have. In other big news, Norah has officially graduated from the 'infant' room at daycare and she will now be in the toddler room. I won't go into great detail, but let's just say when I dropped her off last Friday, it hit me like a ton of bricks that this was the last time she was going to the baby room since she was 13 weeks old and I suddenly became a blubbering idiot. I mean total 'ugly cry' mode! I think it was the hormones!!!!! :0 That is what I am blaming it on, anyway! She is such a big girl and I just can't believe she is going to be TWO already next month! Oh my!

Mrs. Amy was so sweet and had Norah make a graduation cap too. I tried to get a picture of Norah wearing it, but she didn't want to cooperate! Just too cute! This made me cry all over again when she put it on at the end of the day when I went to pick her up!

Garage sale season has arrived. This was my $3 purchase. Worth it!

I love this! She is jumping up and down because it also bounces....her little ponytail bouncing in the air is so cute!

Here we are...25 weeks....15 more to go!!! September will be here before we know it!

First trip to Grindstone of the summer. Don't let the disgusting color of the ice cream scare you! She had Superman and loved it, but it eventually melted, made this disgusting color, but she decided it would be best to drink it! Every last drop of it!
