22 weeks

We have had some exciting moments the past couple of weeks. The baby is kicking a lot more now and Drew finally felt it the other night. It was so amazing to see his face when he finally felt the biscuit kick. It is really active at night (of course! :) ) when I am laying on the couch. I am starting to feel it every once in awhile during the day at school too! I had to order some new undershirts the other day because all of my old tank tops and t-shirts are just way too short on me. The belly is in full force! I love it! Well, we are going to register at the end of this month and we start baby classes next month. Time is flying! Getting more and more anxious to meet the little one!

Halfway there........holy smokes!

20 WEEKS....just cannot believe it. I am really feeling the baby move now, but Drew is not able to feel the kicks yet. He is anxiously awaiting!!!! I was sick last week and had to leave school. I think I had a little stomach thing going on, but we are all better now and back to a very busy week at work! Our next appt. is in another few weeks and then we get another ultrasound done at around 28 weeks. Can't wait to see the biscuit again!

Accessories

Just thought I would share some of the other accessories we have picked up for the baby's room.

These are our paint colors. The light blue on the left is going to be our dresser/changing table. The green color is going on all of the walls! Then there are going to be chocolate brown accents; the changing pad on top of the dresser is going to be chocolate brown and the crib, below, is espresso color.

Our beautiful crib....don't mind the mess around it...the room is a work in progress. And yes, there is a baby doll in the crib...one of mine from when I was younger. :) That is our bedding hanging on the side, with the polka dots. Love it with the crib!!!

My very first purchase for the baby's room a couple of months ago. Found it at the Pottery Barn Outlet and couldn't resist!

When I went shopping for maternity clothes with my mom, we both agreed I couldn't go home that night without an outfit for the baby. So this is the one I picked.

We've got a stubborn one on our hands!!!!

Well, we had our big ultrasound today, but turns out it wasn't the only "big" one we will have. The girl doing the ultrasound said the baby was just not cooperating and wouldn't give us a profile shot. Baby sure was moving around a lot though, just not in the right direction. The "biscuit" was making it very difficult for her to capture any good photos. She told us we were going to have to go back for another ultrasound anyway because right now my placenta is low. She said it is nothing to be concerned about and it happens to a lot of women. She said over 90% of the time it will move up to where it is supposed to be. I asked her what the risks were of having a low placenta and she said it could just cause higher risk of bleeding and if the placenta doesn't go up at all then I would have to have a C-section. So we will go back for another ultrasound (not quite sure when; Dr. Krohn will tell us on Friday at our appt.) and hopefully we will have a more cooperative little one so we can get some better pictures!


You can see the head and the spine really well in this one. The baby's face is facing downward. She told us it was a good thing we didn't want to know the sex because she said she wouldn't have been able to tell us today. The baby's legs are all curled up and crossed and squashed up together!

She took this one because you can see the leg bent at the knew down to the lower right hand side of the picture. She even had me get up and go to the bathroom and roll onto my side to see if the baby would change positions, but it just wasn't having it!!!

18 weeks and counting....

I was able to take some photos of Jenn and Mike's son, Cole Michael, on Saturday when we went to visit them. Here is a video I made for them! Enjoy!

Peas and Peanut Butter

Well, Molly turned 5 years old today!!! It is so hard to believe because we got her when she was 6 weeks old and 10 days before we got engaged! And here we are, married 4 years and having a baby. So, I figured since it was her last birthday being the only "baby" in the family, I had to make it special. So I found a doggy cake recipe and made it for her. I know, pathetic, or as Jenn Cubitt said, "Very pathetic". Hey, it is the small things....right? So, happy birthday to our Mols! You're the best pup in the world!


Her lovely cake with peanut butter for frosting, peas (her favorite vegetable) and a couple milk bones as an added bonus!


Waiting patiently....she couldn't wait to dig in!

Ah...finally a chunk of the cake! Amazing!

Don't worry, I took the cake away after she ate this hunk. She will have the leftovers tomorrow.
