Our most recent Project

Janis came over and helped me create this masterpiece out front of our house. Thanks for all of your help Janis. Drew and Doug were golfing while this project was put in the works. I do have to give Drew 100% credit though, because this was originally his idea to landscape along the sidewalk. I was skeptical at first, but you were right honey, it looks great!

A School Year Coming to an End

Here are some of my favorite pictures of my students taken with my new camera. It is amazing what a good camera will do for you! All of these photos are included on a DVD that each of my students are getting as an "end of the year" gift. I invited all of my parents to the classroom last Friday to have ice cream and watch the DVD. I think they all really enjoyed it. Another school year has come and gone. I am going to be a wreck on Friday. Just to think, these little people have just finished their second grade year and are now moving on to the next school. What a year! (They better come back and visit me!)

It's the Perfect time of day!

There is a photo contest through Pure Michigan that I am going to enter a couple of these photos in. I don't know if I have a chance to win or not, but I figure it is worth a shot. A camping we will go, a camping we will go!!

This weekend we went on our annual South Higgins Lake Camping Trip. I have been going to Higgins Lake since I was a very young girl. I wasn't ever able to go during my years in college and when we lived in Indiana, but last year we were able to go and now this year! I hope it is something we can continue to be a part of for a long time. We went with Mom and Dad, Bridget and Chopper, Aunt Dinah and Uncle Kenny, and Jimmy and Erin were able to join us. We had pretty nice weather, except for a few sprinkles on Saturday. Couldn't ask for much more!

Two Weddings, One Weekend

Drew and I had two weddings to attend over Memorial Day weekend. The first wedding was on Saturday and it was my cousin Nicole's wedding. We had a wonderful time! It was a very special wedding because it was the bride's birthday and also my great-grandmother's birthday. She turned 104!!!!! Can you believe it!? It was a wonderful celebration with family.
The second wedding we attended was that of my high school friend, Jamie Lussier. We traveled to East Lansing for the big event and I am sure you can guess who showed up....Sparty! It was an absolutely beautiful wedding and the bride and groom looked fabulous! It was a very busy weekend, but well worth it!

Welcome to Brining Road

Drew and I took another little drive the other night and decided to go to Brining Road. How cool!!!!
