Birthday Celebrations

This should have been posted awhile ago, but right before Christmas we went to Aunt Dinah and Uncle Kenny's house to celebrate Uncle Kenny's and Chopper's birthdays. Here a couple pics from the event.

Lucie Christine Kaczuk

Here are the pictures of Lucie. She was 7 lbs. 15 oz. and just perfect and healthy. Chrissy, her mom, is doing fantastic and T.J. and her are just happy to be home tonight enjoying being snowed in with their new daughter. Congratulations again, guys! We love you!

Welcome to the family, Lucie!

I am happy to announce that my cousin T.J. and his wife, Chrissy, had a beautiful, healthy baby girl on Wednesday afternoon. Lucie Kaczuk was born here in Bad Axe. I don't have all of the details yet, but I am going to visit her in the hospital tomorrow, so hopefully I will have some pictures to share with all of you. I took some time this past week, thankfully not a minute to soon, to go and take some pictures of Chrissy and T.J. in their home before Lucie was born. The following is a bit of what I captured and have fooled around with on the computer. I hope you enjoy!


 
 

 

Cool New Program

I have been searching for free programs on the Internet that I can use with my photography. I found one that I think I will find useful. When our wedding pics were taken I loved the ones that were black and white and just a portion was in color. Well, now I can do that. Check out the two pictures of Audrey and Lilly I experimented with. Then, I also took one of my leaf pictures and turned the leaf color, while the background stayed black and white. The last one is from my cousin's wedding. I absolutely love it! Check back for more later!







 

Trouble

Well, my mom has been "working" with Molly for quite some time now to teach her how to open her treat cupboard. To our amazement, she did it tonight on her own. I have a bad feeling this is going to come back and bite us in the butts. We are going to need a baby safety latch to keep our dog out of the treats! Oh well, it provides us entertainment for now!

On the menu....

Well, we had my parents, Aunt Dinah and Uncle Kenny, Bridget and Chopper, and Maggy and Eric over on Saturday night. The menu was buffalo chicken dip, spinach dip (made by Drew himself!), deviled eggs, and a sweet appetizer (a chocolate chip cheeseball, which turned into a dip) with graham cracker sticks. Mom made her world famous salad that we had just before dinner! Then, for dinner we had a Jennifer Hamilton original of Winter-Busting White Chicken Chili and Paula Dean homemade cheesy bisquits. Then for dessert I made a pathetic excuse for a cake (Paula Dean would be very disappointed) that had lemon icing on it. As you will see from the pictures, we all just dug in, I didn't even attempt to cut it. We had a wonderful time and feel so blessed to have so many loving people in our lives that we can celebrate the holidays with!

As you can see, I ran out of little plates to put our biscuits on because we used them all for our salads. So, I busted out some Halloween paper plates that I had to use up! They worked, right? :)
