Christmas In Review

We had such a wonderful Christmas.....our first Christmas with our baby girl. We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's house, then woke up in our own house to enjoy Christmas morning as a family! Norah got everything she asked for! ;) Then, we went to Grammy and Papa's house to visit for a bit! We headed back to my parent's house for Christmas Day with them, my brother and Erin, my Grandpa Baird, and Aunt Dinah and Uncle Kenny. It was a lovely, relaxing day full of gift opening, game playing and eating! On Sunday, it was time to head to Doug and Janis' to see the Hamiltons. This was Norah's first time meeting her cousins and Uncle Dan. They were so excited to meet her! We had some yummy homemade pizza and then headed home for the night. On Monday, we had our family Christmas at Brining's. We had a wonderful time watching all of the girls open their gifts and then had a wonderful dinner and dessert. Thank you everyone for all of your generous gifts this year and for making our Christmas that much more special!

Norah had her first little holiday party at daycare the other day. I was able to leave work for about a half an hour to go. The kids were so cute 'opening' their gifts from Mrs. Nancy and Mrs. Heidi. This is just the beginning of all the holiday festivities to come in the next couple weeks! We are going to have so much fun!

Master

It's official....I am a Master in Education! Ha! Not so much, but that is the name Drew gave me on my card. It has been a grueling 18 months, but all worth it. I was eating lunch with Drew today and I told him I still have that panicked feeling inside where I ask myself, "Stephanie, what are you doing on the blog or watching TV, you have homework to do....". However, that is no longer the case! What a great feeling!!! :)

This is what I arrived home to on Friday after school.  A celebratory drink and beautiful card from my hubby and daughter!  Coudn't ask for more! :)

She's Been a Good Girl

Norah got her chance the other day to tell Santa how good she has been the past five months!  She asked for a couple cute outfits, a new hanging, vibrating toy for her playmat and some books!  We will see if she gets what she asked for! ;)

Of course I had to tell Santa what I would like for Christmas too! :)

Snowstorm 2010

Last weekend we had a major snowstorm.  We had two days off of school and even Drew was off work on Monday, which NEVER EVER happens.  It was horrible!  Norah and I were literally locked up in the house for three days straight.  HAPPY WINTER!!!!

1905

1905.....that was the year my great-grandma Laura Sharer was born.  She was a wonderful Grandma that I have many fond memories of!  She passed away this past Tuesday in her sleep at Courtney Manor where she was living.  Her mind was so sharp and even during her last visit to my Mom and Dad's house she had to have her Budweiser!!!  This past summer she was able to meet Norah and I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to get a 5 generations picture.  We will cherish those pictures forever.  It was so amazing to see this new life being held by a woman who has seen 105 years of life-changing events.  I just wanted to commemorate Grandma with a few of my favorite pictures of her!  We love you Grandma!

This was at Kelly's (my Mom's sister) surprise birthday party last year. 

This is one set of the 5 generations in the family.  My Grandma Sharer, Grandma Kaczuk (her daughter), Uncle Tom (my Mom's brother), his son TJ and his daughter Lucie!

I was about 5 or 6 weeks pregnant in this picture.  I was dying to tell everyone, especially Grandma, but they had to wait until Thanksgiving to find out! 

I was just hoping to be able to get a 5 generation picture with our baby girl and we were blessed enough to get that opportunity!

So many great memories!  We will miss you Grandma!
