Happy 50th Birthday Mom! That's right....50!!!

Happy Birthday, Mom! My parents were away to Florida during my Mom's birthday. Drew and I decided to head over to their house before they got home to decorate for her birthday! We hung black streamers and white balloons and left a copy of her new favorite movie, Mama Mia, for a little surprise when she got home. We hope you had a wonderful 50th birthday, Mom. Love you!!!!!

Damn Meat Pie

Well, Drew and I attended our 2nd Damn Meat Pie party. The first one we attended was last year at Goddard's. We plan on attending every one we can from here on out! What is a meat pie, you ask? Exactly what it sounds like...a pie crust with meat in it! It is delicious with Frank's hot sauce and maybe a touch of gravy! This year the meat pie was served up at my parents house. Drew made it back from the MSU game just in time to get a slice. We had a great time eating, playing left, right, center, and Drew and I finally made it home around 1:30am. Come to find out, after we left everyone else stayed up until 5:00 in the morning! No wonder we were all a little heavy eyed this morning at breakfast. It was another successful year and we look forward to it again next year, back at the Goddards!

New Hardware

We got a few things for the house for Christmas, so Drew decided to get them all put up in one weekend! I love seeing little things like light fixtures and knobs on the cabinets and how they just add those finishing touches to make your home feel even warmer! Here is Drew completing the projects.

Believe me, we were not a rowdy bunch on New Year's Eve, but we did muster up about five minutes of energy at 12:30am to take some of these silly pictures right before bed! Yes, we were in bed by 12:45am. I think we are all getting old!

Mom and I always said "We just want one hour with Jack Bauer" from 24. He is just so cool and isn't hard on the eyes either (love you more, honey)! So, my brother had a shirt made for both of us with Jack Bauer's picture on it and they say "I want one hour with Jack Bauer". I am SO wearing this on premiere night!
